This survey exhibition spans the prolific art career of Joe Bastida Rodriguez highlighting points from throughout his career.
His work began in the 1970's while studying in Italy Houston and later culminating in his MFA at San Jose State University. As a Tejano/Chicano artist he has worked in many facets of the art world. He has been engaged in artist organizations, shown in galleries, arts centers, and museums. Today, his journey has embraced his Mestizo heritage by working outdoors in nature. His current work embraces his experience as an American descendant working with simple tools of brush, paint, canvas, easel and the power of place.
