ABOUT THE GALLERY :
Art Ark Gallery is located on the property of Art Ark Apartments, a proud project of the CORE companies. It is an Artisan Village in the heart of the Martha Gardens Arts District just six blocks south of San Jose State University. Art Ark was established in 2006. Its mission is to present exhibitions by artists and curators that engage, educate and inspire the public.
RESIDENCY:
The Gallery offers two Artist-In Residencies (not live in) per year one in Winter one in Summer, culminating in a solo exhibition. Please email genevieve.hastings.artark@gmail.com a brief statement of your residency proposal along with image examples of what you will be exhibiting and any events you hope to provide. The subject line should read "Residency (Summer or Winter) (year)". Deadline for proposals for Winter is October 15 and Summer is April 15. Please email if you have any further questions.
Art Ark Gallery is a participant of SoFA: South First Fridays Art Walk, a monthly event in downtown San Jose on South First Street. For more information and a list of participating galleries and other business see www.southfirstfridays.com .
