Spirit of Japan: Then and Now — Peter Thoeny, Quality HDR Photography
Peter used to live in Japan for 8 years and immersed himself with Japanese culture. Seeing it from his own perspective, he discovered that the current way of life in Japan is somehow connected to the past. Oliver and Peter traveled twice across Japan to capture Japan with their own eyes and cameras. Peter presents his favorite images of Japan in this exhibition, with the hope to inspire people to take a closer look at the Japanese way of life.
Peter combines creative compositions with careful application of HDR processing to recreate a scene as experienced with his own eyes. He learned composition when creating artwork with pencil, charcoal and brush while visiting Italy and other European countries. He loves to travel, and has been fascinated with photography since leaving Switzerland for Japan. Peter now lives in the Silicon Valley for 20+ years, and is an instructor at the Digital Photo Academy, teaching creative composition in the San Francisco Bay Area. He also offers event photography with his creative style. Peter specializes in naturally looking HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography. Contact Peter to discuss your photography needs!

Spirit of Horses: Poetry in Motion — Oliver Klink
Poetry In Motion is available for pre-order at https://www.oliverklinkphotography.com/Poetry-In-Motion
"Oliver Klink's Poetry in Motion is a poignant reminder of the importance of the human-equine bond. His pictures transcend the expected form, bridging storytelling with a stylized form of documentation. The result is a body of work even the uninitiated cannot help but be moved by. Oliver's artistry connects us to our childhood dreams, adolescent adventures, and adult fantasies while grounding us in a global reality. As the world continues to change at lightning speed, Poetry in Motion reminds us that we are more dependent on our equine relative than ever before." – Geir & Kate Jordahl
"Oliver is more than a photographer. He seeks to reveal the spiritual essence of his subjects in all their majesty. He brings to light that which is felt but unseen. The horse is a fitting subject for his attention. Throughout this work, he finds the dignity and vulnerability of horses in their varied roles, both in service to man and roaming free in the wild. He is especially sensitive to the sympathetic relationship that has developed between horses and humans over millennia. He probes this uncanny spiritual bond universally understood by anyone who has spent time with horses." – Jackson Nichols
Oliver is an award-winning Swiss photographer based in Los Gatos, CA. He published his first book, Cultures in Transition: Spirit-Heart-Soul in 2019 , which won nine ‘best of’ awards for photography books (www.culturesintransition.com).

Horses transcend mere art, embodying a profound connection that reaches deep into the human soul. Their majestic presence and powerful grace inspire awe and reverence. Each gallop, each flick of the mane, echoes the rhythms of our own hearts, drawing parallels between their raw, untamed spirit and our deepest emotions. Horses teach us about trust, respect, and the beauty of authentic relationships. They reflect our dreams and fears, standing as symbols of freedom and strength. Through their eyes, we glimpse a world where harmony and connection are paramount, reminding us of the delicate balance between nature and our own humanity.
